Content repurposing

Content repurposing turns one finished piece into new pieces, such as a shorter cut, a clip of one moment or a still post, so the same work reaches more people.

Why it matters

Research, writing and production take real effort. Repurposing lets one well-made story be found in more places without starting from scratch.

Repurposing is not the same as posting one file everywhere. It makes something new from the original: a shorter cut built around its strongest moment, a teaser, or a quote card, each shaped for where it will appear.

It works best when planned while writing. Moments that make sense on their own, without the rest of the story, are the natural candidates, and each new piece still needs its own clear opening.

A shorter version must stay true to the full story. Lifting one dramatic moment out of context can change its meaning, so a short cut should still be accurate when it is seen on its own.

Example

From a one-minute short about a scientist's lucky discovery, a fifteen-second cut keeps only the moment she notices the strange result in her lab, with one line that points viewers to the full story.

How we use it

Every video we make also gives one short cut of its strongest moment.
