AI video cost calculator
Estimate what one short video costs to make with AI pictures, motion and narration, and what a month of them adds up to.
Estimate
$6.91 per video
- Motion clips (45 s)$4.50
- Pictures (16)$0.64
- Scenes made again (30%)$1.54
- Narration (0.75 min)$0.23
- A month (20 videos)$138.14
Each line is rounded for display; the totals are worked from the exact amounts.
How it works
- Enter the video's length and how many scenes it has.
- Enter your providers' prices for motion, narration and pictures.
- The total updates as you type, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Most of the cost of an AI-made short sits in a few places. Motion is usually priced by the second, so a longer video, or more of it animated, costs more. Pictures are priced one at a time, so the number of scenes and the pictures each one needs add up quickly. Narration is priced by length, often by the minute or by the number of characters.
Re-makes are the cost people forget. Not every scene comes out right the first time: a face changes, a hand looks wrong, or a move drifts off its subject, and the scene is made again. Each re-make pays again for that scene's pictures, its motion or both, so a video where a third of the scenes are made twice costs clearly more than the first estimate. That is why the calculator asks for the share of scenes made more than once.
Prices change often, and they differ by quality setting, clip length and plan, so the numbers in the boxes are examples, not market prices. Check each price on your provider's own pricing page before you rely on the total.
The monthly figure is the cost of one video times the number you plan to make. If one video looks affordable but the month does not, fewer scenes or fewer seconds of motion are the first places to look.
- Prices are examples. Use your own providers' current prices.
- The total includes the scenes made more than once, at the percentage you set.
- Taxes, subscriptions and people's time are not included.
