THE GARAGE THAT
STARTED IT ALL

iDrop in a frame to check its shape and size against TikTok's.

TikTok's safe zone template for in-feed ads, drawn on a 720 × 1280 frame: 160 px clear at the top, 440 px at the bottom, 80 px on each side, and a 120 px column of buttons on the right from 560 px to 840 px down.

Your image stays on your device.

How it works

  1. Drop in a frame from your video, or a still you plan to use.
  2. Pick TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
  3. See the areas the app covers and the safe area left clear. The image never leaves your device.

Phone apps draw their own bars, buttons and captions over every vertical video. Anything underneath them, such as a face, a name on screen or a key number, can be hard to see or hidden completely. This checker lays those areas over your frame, so you can move the important parts into the clear space before you publish.

The numbers come from the platforms' own published guidance, and the platforms publish these zones for ads: TikTok's safe zone template, Meta's guidance for Reels ads and Google's overlay for YouTube video ads each mark how much of the top, the bottom and the sides to keep clear. The label on each covered area describes what usually sits there.

The app layout people actually see varies by phone, app version and caption length: a long caption takes more room, and a new version of an app can move a button. Treat the overlay as a guide, leave a little extra room, and check a real preview on a phone before you post.

Your image never leaves your device. It is drawn in your browser and is not uploaded or stored anywhere.

  • The covered areas come from each platform's guidance for ads. Real layouts vary by phone, app version and caption length.
  • Keep faces, on-screen text and key numbers inside the safe area.
  • Your image stays on your device.
